Pricing
Midwifery Fee: $7,000
Midwifery care is un-rushed, compassionate, and personalized to your needs and desires. Prenatal vistis are at least 45 minutes long to allow time for questions, heartfelt discussion on your birthing goals, and education on everything relating to pregancy, birth, and postpartum. Additionally, I only accept 3-4 clients every month. Traditional medical practices set 8 minutes aside for prenatal visits because that is what insurance covers. The cost of your birth depends on the amount of time you spend at the hospital, what items are used, and the mode of delivery. With labs, ultrasound, prenatal visits, birth and postpartum this often adds up to over $10,000 even with insurance.
An out of hospital birth with a midwife is significantly more cost effective because the global fee never changes, no matter how many items are used, or how long your birth is. Everything from the birth tub, birth kit, birth assistant, and postprtum home visits are included in the fee. And you will never receive a surprise bill postpartum!
The full midwifery fee must be paid in full by 36 weeks of pregnancy. Payment plans are available as well as a pay in full discount. Repeat clients as well as clients on Apple Health (Medicaid) plans will receive a 10% discount. A super bill will be provided to you at your 6 week postpartum visit.
